Dylan Blue Pour Femme is the newest female fragrance by Italian house Versace, known for bringing the kitsch, raw sexuality and promiscuity to the top of fashion art. This perfume from the Pour Femme line is a followup of commercially (and in perfume terms as well) successful edition of Dylan Blue Pour Homme. Very decent (and lasting) aromatic fougere from 2016 got its female counterpart in form of a powerful fruit floral.

Donatella Versace found the inspiration for Dylan Blue Pour Femme in powerful women.

Dylan Blue Pour Femme is my gift to femininity. That is why I fund a strong, sensual and refined fragrance for a woman who knows her powers.

Bruce Veber, the creator of the advertising campaign and a renowned photographer talked about his experience that he brought to the photographs:

When I walk the streets of New York and Brooklyn, I see all these gyms with women exercising and growing more and more strong and muscular. One can say they are “one of the boys” but it is good to know they are still girls. I thought about them and created this work in their honor.

I must admit I expected a lot from this perfume. Not only because of the beautiful bottle that was made to look like antic amphora. But because of a legacy that in a short time male Dylan Blue left among contemporary masculine scents. Not that it is a fantastic perfume but compared to it Dylan Blue Pour Femme is a nightmare of every strong woman. Strong woman have to always be prepared, have to give her maximum and then some more needs to move a step further to be equal with a man. And then someone reduces her to the generic, fruity little fragrance that dropped from the same pot as D&G The One Eau de Toilette, Givenchy Dahlia Divin Nude and all the other teenage copies of Angel and Mitsouko. The pot that boils Paris Hilton, Liberace and Cinderella’s evil sisters. Nightmare indeed.
