Opened in 2005 as the first “niche” perfumery in Serbia, Metropoliten introduced many innovations in the local perfume market, created new practices for the presentation and sale of perfumes, collaborated with many Belgrade artists and, over the years, grew as a brand for itself, known today even beyond Serbian borders.

Highly selective in introducing new brands to its shelves, Metropoliten has nurtured exclusivity in its cosmetics and perfume departments from the beginning. Whether you call these perfumes “art”, “niche” or “indie”, they are in Metropoliten because they are exceptional in some way: they have a cult status, like Le Labo, an avant-garde halo, like Comme des Garcons, or they are a classic like Diptyque, they may bring a new notion of luxury like Killian, or be a promising new brand like Nasomatto was when it hit the Metropoliten perfume shelves.

In addition to the knowledgeable and restrained introduction of new brands, Metropoliten has carefully nurtured its relationship with customers over the years, believing that the choice of perfume is a unique experience that requires time, dedication and curiosity. Perfume is not an object, it is esoteric and elusive, and the employees of Metropoliten are ready to search with you for the one that will win your heart.

If perfumes are a new art form, Metropolitan certainly sees them as exhibits that need a worthy exhibition space. That is why Metropoliten perfumeries have become recognizable by the design of that space, which distinguishes them not only from all other Belgrade’s perfumeries but also from each other, as much as the spirit of the two historic city cores in which they are located differs from one another.

One in the unbridled and creative Dorcol, the other in the dignified Vračar, the two Metropolitan perfumeries invite with their store window displays to their world that exudes precious and rare essences and uncontrollable molecules. Both irresistibly attract those who are ready to indulge in the magic that masterfully created perfumes bring to our receptors, senses and emotions.
