Euphoria Men review

Euphoria Men is a fragrance by Calvin Klein that was officially launched in 2006. It was created by a team of perfumers led by Carlos Benaim, a talented perfumer who has created many successful perfumes for Calvin Klein (Euphoria for Women, Eternity), as well as for other brands such as Bvlgari Jasmin Noir, Carolina Herrera for Him, and Her, Chic for Men (one of my favorite men’s fragrances with an accord of watermelon and cinnamon), Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb, Ralph Lauren Polo, Dior Pure Poison and ingenious Estee Lauder Pleasures.

Euphoria Men

Euphoria Men in one word

The keyword that describes the best Euphoria Men perfume is – anticlimactic! A slightly cynical name, Euphoria, evokes a picture of something that this perfume could be but is not. I don’t know for what reason, but at every level, this perfume excites with conception and then bitterly disappoints with the unfolding, something like Batman vs Superman movie.

The lovely notes of ginger and pepper captivate the nose at first, but gradually give way to a nasty vinegar smell. In the middle, the scent of leather tempts you, causing you to inhale more and more, eventually withdrawing and leaving an undefined basil and cedar accord. Amber and patchouli provide a tiny amount of sweetness and warmth to the perfume’s base, but in poor proportions. Fragrant notes of the perfume, the same as notes of music, are worthless if their “harmony” is discordant. If we use music as an example, CK Euphoria Men is nothing more than a bad, cheesy tune with slick production.

The final verdict

Luca Turin, the world’s most famous perfume critic, gives it one star, indicating that it is a perfume that should be avoided at all costs. I don’t agree with all of his ratings, but I must say that he’s on point for Euphoria Men (as opposed to 1 star for Versace Crystal Noir). He didn’t use many words to describe Euphoria Men; instead, he simply wrote: A passion that doesn’t stop at anything, including selling crappy perfumes for real money.

[Fragrance notes] top notes: ginger, pepper; middle notes: basil, sage; base notes: cedar, deerskin, amber, patchouli.

[Fragrance group] woody aromatic.

The creators of the perfume are Carlos Benaim, Loc Dong and Jean Marc Chaillan.
